Sam Bornstein has more than 25 years experience in communications, having served as a senior counsel to two Ontario cabinet ministers, as a political reporter, and as a communications adviser to many of Canada’s top organizations.
A public affairs consultant since 1989, Sam provides strategic communications counsel and runs complex, multi-stakeholder communications programs in numerous sectors including: healthcare, the public sector, financial services, mining, energy and real estate development.
Earlier, Sam served in senior roles at the legislature of Ontario, first as press secretary to the Minister of Community and Social Services and, later, as chief of staff to the Minister of Housing. He has also led environmental communications for Ontario Hydro.
Sam began his career as a journalist for a national radio network, where – over nine years - he reported on politics, sports and business in Canada and the U.S. His last posting, for more than four years, was at the Ontario legislature; during this time, he was elected to a term as President of the Queen’s Park Press Gallery.
He holds a B.A. (Hon.) degree from York University.
